For us a proper_tasty buzzfeedtasty tastyjapan recipe for Swedish style meatball pasta….super yummy, warming, delicious, beefy and sumptuous pasta with meatballs, stacks of parsley and cheese. Fed the soul!!!

Oooof yessssss – shoyu ramen with chashu pork all made from scratch – it’s only taken like 5 hours .
Rolled the pork and slowly braised it in the oven for 3.5 hours in a fab liquid with aromats and soy sauce. I was meant to leave it to cool overnight but we were too bloody excited!
Slowly cooked broth made from roasted chicken and carrots, then bubbled on the stove for 3 hours with lots of lovely things.
Served with noodles, a couple of dumplings, some of the shiitake mushrooms from the broth, spring onions and an amazing ramen egg.
Soooo yum I can’t even get over it!!

The time and energy gone into this was worth every second – that juice/marinade and the set on the pork – you could spread the fat on toast it’s that tender!!!! Making this chashu pork was soooo worth it!!!! I had my doubts but it turned out sumptuous, juicy, meaty, savoury and fricking delicious!!!
Was meant to wait for it to cool and set completely but couldn’t – so we are yet to see that amazing swirl with the leftovers when it’s cooled properly. I can say though – it’s the tastiest pork belly I have ever eaten
